Naunet was the feminine form of Nun, who represented the primeval waters of chaos in the Ogdoad theology of Hermopolis. She was rarely described as a personified deity, and is not often mentioned without her partner Nun. She was sometimes described as the mother of the sun god along with the composite deity Nun-Ptah
