Rosetta Stone

The Rosetta Stone is a stele bearing a decree by Ptolemy V on which the same text was inscribed in hieroglyphs, demotic and ancient Greek making it a key artefact for the decipherment of Egyptian hieroglyphs. The stele can now been viewed in the British Museum.
